ITEMS WE DO NOT CONSIGN AT BEAR MARKET

Items you bring for us to sell must be
CLEAN, NO HOLES, DAMAGE, MILDEW, etc.  Always think to yourself:

1.  Is my item clean and ready to display to the public?
2.  Is my item nice enough to ask for money for it?
3.  Is my item fragile?  Can it be displayed in such a way that the item will not get ruined?
4.  Is my item of any danger?  Could someone be injured if they sit on, pull on, grab, etc.?

The items in the chart below are items we do NOT accept:                                                  

                                                                                                     

  • ELECTRONICS
  • Computers
  • Computer monitors that are outdated (prefer flat screens/light weight)
  • Printers or scanners with no install disc
  • Console televisions
  • Black and white television
  • Console stereos
  • Televisions of any kind
  • VHS players without a remote
  • Satelite system equipment that must be registered with installer

 


  • FURNITURE & FIXTURES
  • Blinds and Curtain rods
  • Ceiling fans
  • Sewing machine cabinets (with or without machine)
  • Box Springs alone (we will take a mattress alone)
  • Shower stalls or doors
  • Sinks without a cabinet/vanity (we do take stainless steel kitchen sinks)
  • Counter tops with no cabinetry
  • Mirrors that are not framed
  • Glass that is not framed securely
  • Windows without whole framework
  • Cheaper interior doors with no framework
  • CLOTHING
  • Clothing that is out of season
  • Clothing that is out of style -
  • (Not costume useable)
  • Cut-off shorts
  • Roller blades
  • Altered and some home-made clothing
  • Note: we have a list of over 30 reasons to not use items - usually it is dirty, stains, holes, lint balls, mildew, storage ruin, etc.......

  • MISCELLANEOUS
  • Bowling balls
  • Iron boards
  • bikes (unless like new toddler size for gift)
  • Large exercise equipment (must fit on shelf)
  • out dated skiis - wood/heavy skiis
  • winter skiis (non seller in Missouri)
  • Ski boots (again winter non-seller)
  • Auto parts/wheels/tires/hub caps
  • Guns
  • Food/medications
  • Live animals/plants
  • Unassembled things - we do not assemble
  • Mirrors or glass that are not framed secure
  • Golf club caddys
  • Rollerblade skates
  • Any items with garage sale tags left on
 
  • APPLIANCES
  • Washers and dryers    (always got returned- gave up)
  • Gas/Propane appliances
  • any "built-in" appliance
  • Trash compactor
  • Hot water heaters
  • Furnaces for a whole house
  • Old airconditioners that are not
  • energy efficient
  • SERVICE CHARGE
  • Persons bringing us appliances or any large, hard to dispose of item that is faulty, will be charged a $80 service charge if we are left with it.
  • This charge can be deducted from your account, or we invoice you. This is part of our contract and you agree to this when you sign our contract.

 

  • TOYS
  • We are Picky with toys. We will display all games and puzzles (box in good condition/or antique).
  • Stuffed animals should be clean and nice enough for a gift.
  • We do not put out mini plastic figures (free McDonald gifts, etc.)

  • SEASONS
  • Spring to Summer Items are accepted:
  • FEBRUARY 15TH TO AUGUST 14TH
  • Fall to Winter items are accepted:
  • AUGUST 15TH TO FEBRUARY 14TH
  • Valentines and Easter Items after January 1st
  • Fourth of July items after March 30th
  • Back-to-school items after July 15th-(do not get too wintery however)
  • Halloween items after August 31st
  • Thanksgiving also after August 31st
  • Christmas Items: after October 31st
